An intensive investigation of the neural basis of behavior using an integrated lecture and laboratory format. Principles of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and neuropharmacology are applied to behavioral processes such as perception, movement, learning, motivation and emotion. Lecture, three hours per week; laboratory, two hours per week. This course is a Graduation Composition and Communication Requirement (GCCR) course in certain programs, and hence is not likely to be eligible for automatic transfer credit to UK. Prereq: Declared major in Psychology, PSY 195, PSY 215, 216, 312, BIO 103, or consent of instructor.
