Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The UK Psychology Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is a collaborative committee of self-nominated students, faculty, post-doctoral fellows and/or staff who work together to promote:

  1. Diversity within our department at all stakeholder levels (undergraduate students, graduate students, staff, research and teaching faculty at all levels). This DEI Committee understands and appreciates that diversity may be a function of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, first-generation status, immigration status, ethnicity, nationality, and (dis)ability among other things - and diversity in all of its forms is valued and respected.

  1. Equitable access to information, opportunities and resources within the department and at the university, particularly via greater transparency

  2. Inclusion by increasing the degree to which diverse individuals are able to participate in decision making processes within the department as a result of greater shared governance

In line with this mission, our committee aims to provide a transparant account of our initiatives and activities via our Priorities, Procedures, & Strategic Plans Document.
