Led by Dr. Christa Spears Brown, a Professor in the Psychology Department, the College of Arts & Sciences partnered with the College of Medicine to create a series of Microlearning Modules on Health Equity. Ranging between five and 10 minutes, these informative, engaging, evidence-based, and practical mini-lessons cover a variety of issues related to health equity, diversity, and inclusion. A number of Psychology faculty members served as subject matter experts: Christal Badour (Intimate Partner Violence), Rachel Farr (Adoptive Families), Angel Armenta (Language Barriers, Deportation Concerns, and other Acculturation Issues among Latinx Immigrants), Lauren Whitehurst (Sleep Health Equity), Mary Beth McGavran (Refugees and Trauma), and Christia Spears Brown (LGBTQ+ Health Disparities). These resources can be found on this page.
