I research at the intersection between the history of modern philosophy and contemporary continental philosophy, with a specialization in Hegel and phenomenology. The guiding theme of my work is time--what time is and how we experience it. My first monograph, The Impossibility of Time: Hegel and the Antinomies of Pure Reason, is under contract with Bloomsbury, and I am currently working on my next book project, which develops a dialectical phenomenology with figures including Hegel, Husserl, Sartre, and Irigaray.
