Liz Sheehan

I am a Senior Lecturer at University of Kentucky. I currently teach PSY 350: Careers in Psychology, PSY 216: Statistics, PSY 215: Research Methods, PSY 160: Human Sexuality, and PSY 780: Graduate Student Teaching Seminar. In 2008, I earned my PhD in Psychology from Emory University and spent the next 7 years on the faculty at Georgia State University before moving to Kentucky. I have presented my work on designing study abroad programs, teaching with technology, and incorporating writing assignments into courses at teaching conferences, such as the Southeastern Conference on Teaching of Psychology. My course designs favor active learning in the classroom and student-driven formats. Outside of the classroom, I have been a faculty advisor for psychology majors, on the UK Conduct Hearing Board, and I work on curriculum development for our department.
