Maricel Schuler
Cognitive Neuroscience Graduate Student

I am a member of the Cognition, Health, and Sleep Equity (CHaSE) Lab, led by Dr. Lauren Whitehurst. At CHaSE Lab, we conduct onsite experimental sleep studies using polysomnographic recordings to examine sleep physiology. Additionally, we track naturalistic sleep and circadian behavior patterns through ambulatory sleep devices and online sleep diaries. My research focuses on the effects of circulating menstrual cycle sex hormones on sleep patterns in reproductive-age women and investigates how circadian rhythm timing influences hormone release and daily sleep behaviors.
