Well-Being, Immunological Aging, and the Brain

As people age, their immune systems change, and not necessarily for the better. How can psychological well-being influence the aging immune system? And how might the immune system and chronic infections influence well-being and the brain? Results from the Thought, Stress, and Immunity Study, which started in 2001 and has involved over 200 local older adults, provide some hints.
