In this series we will celebrate feminist authors who recently published a book or article. A 15-20 minute interview with the author about the journey to publication will be followed by a Q&A. Afterwards, there will be light refreshments as a celebration!
Dr. Vanessa Holden, Associate Professor of History and African American and Africana Studies, will discuss her latest publication, Surviving Southampton: African American Women and Resistance in Nat Turner’s Community, where she explores the contributions that African American women and children made to the Southampton Rebellion, often called Nat Turner’s Rebellion. Dr. Elizabeth Williams, Assistant Professor of Gender & Women’s Studies, will interview the author.
There is a Zoom option available here.
