* Remember - you must be registered with the SONA system in order to receive credit for the alternative assignments.

**The deadline for submitting article summaries is Friday of the 2nd-to-last week of classes (two weeks before finals week). This gives the TA time to grade them. The deadline dates are listed at the top of this page.

Do NOT plagiarize when you are completing these summaries or you will be subject to the same disciplinary measures as for other forms of academic dishonesty. Plagiarism and cheating are serious breaches of academic conduct. Each student is advised to become familiar with the various forms of academic dishonesty as explained in the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities. Additional information on the topic of plagiarism is available through the Office of Academic Ombud Services website (http://www.uky.edu/ombud/academic-integrity).  A plea of ignorance is not acceptable as a defense against the charge of academic dishonesty. It is important that you review this information as all ideas borrowed from others need to be properly credited.

  1. Submit your summary through the Canvas assignment portal for your TA to grade.
**Be sure to have your NAME, INSTRUCTOR’S NAME, SECTION NUMBER, PHONE NUMBER, and STUDENT ID NUMBER on the summary in order to receive credit.

The TA will read your summary and give you ONE (1) credit hour if it meets the criteria above (i.e., 1-2 typed and double-spaced pages, answering the questions as appropriate).
