Wintercare - The WinterCare program is sponsored by utility and gas companies across Kentucky. Grants and credits can be issued to qualified families that need help. The program was created to assist those in need with paying their heating bills during the winter months.Community Action - Community Action Council prevents, reduces and eliminates poverty for individuals, families and communities through direct services and advocacy.LIHEAP - The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs. UK Center for Academic Enrichment and Support - CARES is an academic support unit in the Office for Student Success. Major services and programs include the following: Academic Progress Sessions, Individual Tutoring, Study Groups, Monitored Study, Study Skills Workshops, Individual Study Skills Sessions, Peer Academic Coaching (PAC), Enrichment and Engagement Programs, Summer Bridge Programs, study space, a computer lab, and assistance with personal issues which may include referrals to other campus resources.UK First Generation Student Advising - First-Generation Student Services supports first-generation students (neither parent or guardian has a 4-year degree) at the University of Kentucky from recruitment to graduation through research-based programs, resources, best practices, and campus-wide advocacy about the needs of students who are the first in their families to go to college.International Student and Scholar Services - International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) provides a number of services for current international students, including support and information about student employment, health coverage and others.
